You took my baby from me. And hurt her.
Keeping Rebecca’s tags for amazing word-making.
#What I love about River in this moment (and in turn Alex Kingston’s AMAZING acting) is the fact that she is so much like a child in this scene #So proud of herself for becoming a Doctor. So naive in her attempts to find him. So ignorant of her own past. She was trying so hard to start her new life as River Song and give up the Melody Pond that wanted to kill the Doctor #She wanted to be that woman for him and to be the best version of herself #And in that is such an inherent innocence #It comes with thinking that she could forget her past and move forward #But Kovarian stops River from holding on to that constructed innocence by imprisoning her in that suit #Forcing her to do the one thing she would never want to do #Melody Pond was bred to kill the Doctor and River Song is Melody Pond whether she likes it or not.
All of the above tags are perfect.
This moment, that face, absolutely broke my heart. She’s scared and confused but when Kovarian calls her a doctor she’s so proud. She did it, she became a doctor, she became that much more like the man she loves and she can’t help but smile when she hears it from someone else.
